Argyris Manetas joined the PEARL group as a PhD student at TU Darmstadt in September 2026, supervised by Prof. Georgia Chalvatzaki. His research focuses on creating digital twins and physically grounded world models for robotic control.
Argyris holds an integrated (BSc & MSc) diploma in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens, where his undergraduate research focused on dynamic SLAM. Following his graduation, he joined the Athena Research Center as a Research Assistant. In this role, he focused his research on photorealistic reconstruction of scenes and representation learning, and he also worked on robotic integration.
